The NO WALLS MORE WORDS project is a sports project that takes place at various times. The central one will be the bike trip from Amsterdam to Rome: about 1800 km, crossing Europe to talk about acceptance, mutual support and intercultural dialogue. It is in fact planned to travel the meeting of several NGOs with similar missions to talk about “no hate speech” to overcome the barriers that prevent us from accepting and knowing how to listen to others.

During the crossing of the eight countries: Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, we involved the associations through dynamic activities and invited them to accompany us for the next day.

A tandem of people who step by step connected Europe from North to South. We have also carried out meetings in schools throughout the country in order to make a comparison between expectations (meetings before the trip ) and the experience ( meetings after the trip ).
Schools have been the focal point of the whole project, the place where we have tried to spur their drowsy minds and try to build bridges between students and young around Europe.

OBJECTIVES

  • Creation of “bridges” across Europe
  • Raise the awareness on the theme of the reception, mutual support and intercultural dialogue
  • Comparison and dissemination for the “no hate speech” campaign
  • Motivating young people to pursue their goals
  • Promotion of zero-impact transport

This project reflects the objectives of the EUROPA2020 strategy, through the ERASMUS+ programme, promoting youth mobility, strengthening the spirit of student initiative, intercultural awareness and active participation in society.

The project took place from February 15, 2017, when we got in touch with schools and NGOs, and ended in May after the cycling experience from Amsterdam, through Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, arriving in Italy and finally in Rome.
